LiveX - Mobile & Android TV Streaming App LiveX is a modern cross-platform streaming application built with Flutter and designed to provide a seamless entertainment experience across Android Mobile and Android TV. The project focuses on delivering a consistent, responsive, and easy-to-use streaming experience across different screen sizes and interaction methods. Project Overview LiveX allows users to discover available streaming servers, connect to a server, browse available channels, and enjoy streaming content from both mobile devices and Android TV. The application was designed with a strong focus on performance, responsive layouts, simple navigation, and device-specific usability. Mobile Application The mobile experience is optimized for touch-based interaction and provides a clean interface for server discovery, manual server connection, channel browsing, and channel requests. The interface adapts to different Android screen sizes while maintaining a consistent visual experience. Android TV Application A major part of the project was designing the application specifically for Android TV. Unlike mobile applications, TV users primarily interact with the application through a remote control. Therefore, the interface was optimized for remote navigation, focus handling, large-screen layouts, and fast content discovery. The TV experience was designed to keep navigation simple and accessible while maintaining the same overall product identity as the mobile application. Smart Server Discovery LiveX includes a smart server discovery system that allows users to discover available servers and connect to a suitable streaming server. Users can also manually provide a server ID when automatic discovery is not suitable. Manual Server Connection The application provides a dedicated manual connection flow where users can enter their server information and connect directly to a specific streaming server. Channel Request System If users cannot find a required channel, they can submit a channel request directly from the application. The request form allows users to provide the channel name, server information, and additional notes. This creates a simple communication flow between users and the service management system. In-App Update System LiveX also includes an in-app application update experience. Users can receive the latest APK and install updates directly from within the application without having to manually open a browser and download the APK. This provides a smoother and more convenient update experience. Responsive Design The application was designed to work across different screen sizes and form factors. The same Flutter codebase supports both Android Mobile and Android TV while adapting layouts and interaction patterns according to the target device. The project required careful consideration of responsive layouts, navigation behavior, focus management, performance, and usability across different form factors. Another important focus was creating a smoother update experience so users could update the application without depending on external browser-based APK downloads.
